Instructors should transition to the new tool for the upcoming semesters and discontinue using the Office 365 tool for assignments and document sharing in Canvas.ĭuring this transition period, both OneDrive and Office 365 will be available in Canvas, however, it is recommended that users make the transition to OneDrive and discontinue using Office 365 for file uploads. This OneDrive tool will be replacing the current Office 365 integration in Canvas in the Fall 2023 semester. On August 30, 2022, instructors and students will be able to access Microsoft OneDrive in Canvas. These issues are also affecting Collaborations and Cloud Assignments. Issues with OneDrive are still being investigated with assistance of Microsoft and Instructure support. ET, Penn State is planning to deploy an update to the OneDrive LTI in Canvas to fix the current issues with the tool affecting Collaborations and Cloud Assignments.
